The food here is sooo good and the owner is lovely. Our go-to is the grilled whole chicken but we also like the fried chicken tenders. There are a lot of different sauces, but the chicken is really flavorful on its own as well. I love the rice here!! We’ve also tried the chili cheese bites and were pleasantly surprised to see that they weren’t oily at all. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I tried the smash burger, chips, and drink combo at Bite Mee in Colchester and it really hit the spot. The burger had those crispy, caramelised edges you want from a smash burger, while still staying juicy inside and packed with flavour. The chips were hot, well-seasoned, and worked perfectly alongside the burger rather than just feeling like an add-on. The drink rounded it off nicely and made the whole meal feel like good value for a proper filling combo. Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I got a half chicken w chips and a milkshake, I did want a whole chicken but we had trouble with that on the till. The milkshake was nice but could be a lil thicker, the chicken with Louisiana rub was tasty, I enjoyed it. I’d come here again.
