The 4.7-star rating and 600+ reviews caught my attention, and the food photos looked great. However, on a Tuesday afternoon, this large restaurant was nearly empty. The AC appeared to be broken, with fans running and the front door propped open. Ordering is done entirely through a kiosk, even for dine-in customers. We ordered the Oklahoma onion birria smash burger, hot wings, Caribbean jerk wings, parmesan fries, a side of birria, and a Sprite. Total was about $60 before tip ($70 after tip). After paying, I realized I forgot to add the fried jalapeños to my burger, but there was no option on the kiosk and the cashier couldn’t add them either. The only solution was to order another burger, which made no sense. One positive: everything came out in under 10 minutes. The food was decent but overpriced. The hot wings were crispy, but the sauce was only drizzled on top instead of tossed, leaving much of the wing dry. The Caribbean jerk wings were crispy but lacked both flavor and heat. Neither the wings nor the fries came with dipping sauces. You have to pay extra. At these prices, that’s disappointing. The burger was okay by itself, but clearly intended to be dipped in birria broth. The problem was the broth came in a tiny 2 oz condiment cup. We also ordered a side of birria based on the photos, expecting it to be enjoyable on its own, but it arrived dry and with nowhere near enough broth. We barely touched it. The Parmesan fries were good, but at $9 for a side, they should be. The cashier wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t friendly or welcoming either. When we asked if the wings could be tossed in sauce, the answer was simply no. After we finished eating, she yelled across the dining room telling us to clear our own plates. We were under the impression that this was a dine-in restaurant, not a self-service concept. By the end of the visit, the 4.7-star rating made more sense. Every table had a sign offering a free dessert in exchange for leaving a review. While there’s nothing wrong with encouraging reviews, it definitely made me question how many of those 600+ ratings were influenced by the incentive. Overall, the food wasn’t terrible, but the service was lacking, the ordering process was frustrating, and the value wasn’t there for a $70 meal. I won’t be returning or recommending it. Food was just ok. The burger was good and so were the Mac attack fries, but it took an hour to get the pizza and it was burnt. You would think the pizza would taste amazing with how long it took but it was also gross. The birria Mac n cheese was gross and the portion was a joke for the price. The place is gorgeous but the customer service was mediocre. Overall, the restaurant is just ok and a lot of these positive reviews are probably because of the incentive for a free dessert. This was our first time at Bite more Duluth. We ordered inferno burger, Cajun Alfredo chicken pasta and sweet Thai chili chicken. Everything came fresh and tasted simply delicious. Service is excellent and prices are very reasonable. If you are looking for delicious halal food, definitely try them! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
