We recently dined at Bitoy's and had a generally pleasant experience, though the food didn't quite meet our expectations. For our meal, we ordered the Sinigang na Talakitok, Butter Scallops, and Fried Rice. The restaurant presents fresh seafood for customers to choose from, and since the talakitok was the smallest fish available, we picked it without realizing the dish would cost around ₱700. The fish was fresh, but I personally found the sinigang a bit bland and lacking the tangy punch I usually look for in a good sinigang. The butter scallops were also fresh, which is always a plus when dining by the sea, but I felt they could have used more seasoning or flavor. The fried rice was decent and complemented the seafood well. My companion also tried the talaba. It's served steamed, and while fresh, they don't offer a buttered version, which is my personal preference. What stood out most for me was the ambiance. The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of tables for both small and large groups. There were many families dining during our visit, which says a lot about its popularity. The interior is nice, and guests can choose between indoor seating or outdoor dining with a relaxing sea view. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and they also accept card payments, which is convenient for travelers. Overall, the experience was enjoyable because of the atmosphere, service, and fresh seafood. Maybe we simply ordered the wrong dishes for our taste, and I'd still be open to trying other menu items on a future visit. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₱1–500
