Bitterroot was such a nice little surprise! The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting, making it a great spot for a date night. We stopped in during happy hour and took advantage of the $10 appetizers. The whipped ricotta with honey was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the meal. My husband had the Wagyu burger (he chose bunless) with the Parmesan truffle fries (cooked in beef tallow), and he said everything was incredibly flavorful. I ordered the blue crab pappardelle. The pasta was fresh, and the crab was delicious, but it was definitely spicier than I expected because of the Calabrian chiles. If you enjoy a little heat, you’ll probably love it—just something to be aware of if you’re expecting a milder dish. We skipped cocktails this visit, but based on the food and atmosphere, we’ll definitely be back to try them another time. We did not have a reservation, but they were able to fit us in. I absolutely had the most amazing food. I ordered the gumbo which has got to be some of the best gumball I’ve ever had the Boudin balls, the blue crab pasta and in the redfish aristocrat, absolutely everything was immaculate the old Smoky old-fashioned was flavorful and what had to be even better than the food was a service. Mason was an incredible server who attended to us and made sure that we were taken care of. Please go see Mason. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
