Beautiful restaurant, I've lived in Loveland for years and I have never been. I had 2 friends in from out of town, that didn't want a "chain" feeling. I suggested the Black stèer and now Im Embarrased and I will NEVER ever go back. We went in after lunch, before dinner. We walked in and the sign said to go to the back podium for service, which we did. We stood there probably just short of a min or two... no one. So I asked the bartender where we could be seated. The hostess/waitress was actually sitting AT the bar like we never walked in.she took our drink order. I had asked for "lots and lots " of lemon with my tea, and another guest asked for a drink menu. The waitess was friendly overall but we clearly had interrupted a conversation the bartender and her were trying to have. I asked for more Lemons twice that never came. 2 of the guests ordered drinks that came about the same time as the meal. Long story short, the meal was truly, honestly horrible. I ordered the steak sandwich medium rare. It was literally burnt and well done with zero flavor or seasoning. Another guest ordered beef tips and linguinie I believe. She had asked if she could have some garlic butter instead of regular butter and the waitress literally scoffed and said "we don't do that here," when her meal arrived there was literally garlic salt poured all over her pasta. The 3rd guest ordered a mushroom Swiss burger? I believe. He is not a complainer at all, but did say he could have spent i. 8.00 at burger King and would have been just as happy. We took our food to go, scooped off the garlic salt and fed it to their dogs in the truck and went home to my house and ate. I apologized profusely and felt so bad. Tvey had been on the road almost 3 weeks, and that day was the first time in 13 days I had been out since breaking my ribs and WOW!!!! What a complete disappointment and total waste of money to actually feed our meals to the dogs. It doesn't matter how many awards you win, for best steaks.. I learned my lesson the hard way. What a disappointment and waste of money. I'll never be back again! Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

Did you mention being unhappy to your server? I know that sometime issues occure. As we are all human and have off days. This is a situation I would have wanted to know about intervened moment soon I could have. It isbtrue we do not offer a garlic butter but we could have worked out something for you and your guests. Please if you have an issue ask for a manager . We can and will make sure you have a wonderful experience. More

We've been going to the Steer every Friday for the last 12 years and were informed two weeks ago that the salad is now $5 extra for the meals in which it used to be included with, although no reduction in price of the meal. We've watched the prices rise quite a bit and have been happy to pay the extra $$ but this is a huge jump on a $15 meal.

Still like the food but it will become a once every few months stop for us.

We t to the Steer last night for dinner, as we usually do. We won't be back and here's why: some if the popular appetizer items have benn dropped (chilled shrimp for starters),portion sizes have gotten smaller and despite the menu including side salads, now you are charged $5 to $8 more. We were told the pricing changed to avoid having to raise menu prices? We've hung in there for a long time here, including through covid- last night was the last straw. Shame on you people.
