I usually like this place. Have eaten here when in town before. This time just ordered soup and a dessert. The dessert was a "gluten free cookies and cream cake." I also got a gluten free chocolate chip cookie. lol, what I got was the cake you get at target or the grocery store cut into 1/5th of portion of what you get at the store for the same price. Felt ripped off by this because I got this through Uber eats and could've just gotten the whole cake from Target. There was also a gluten free cookie that was also store bought and put into a container. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We have frequented here for years now but it seems the quality of food has decreased and still pricey. Unfortunately staff is minimally knowledgeable on food items and ingredients, which is challenging for those who have nutrition needs. Overall still a decent spot. The food was delicious! Very well planned menu options that cover a wide range of tastes and include lots of fresh vegetables. I had the lobster eggs benedict and it was scrumptious (and full of lobster)! The ambience at the restaurant is very good - casual and comfortable but not too loud. The manager (or maybe he was a non-management employee) checked on us when we first came in and later after we ordered. The attentiveness of the staff was appreciated and noted. I brought home a tiramisu for my mom and she loved it, so their bakery is also up to par. I highly recommend Black Walnut Cafe for brunch or any other meal.
