This was a bit of a strange experience, and maybe it was because we went between lunch and dinner. The food was absolutely incredible. We had the Balboa Sandwich, crab cakes entree, and kids pasta all with the steamed broccoli. We also got ribs to go for our kid who wanted to stay at the hotel. The consensus was the food was amazing. Like so good! 10/10 Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. It wasn't very busy, but we still had to go to the bar to ask for drinks, and for the check. Overall it was really good food and drinks and I would be willing to give the service a second chance to do better. I’m writing from my very 1st visit to Blackfinn DC on Super Bowl Sunday!! My father is a very big Kansas City Chiefs fan so we knew this was the place to be today & they did not disappoint! Aaron who was tending the front bar was very pleasant while we waited for a table. When we got a table, our waitress Lucy was very attentive to useven with all the KC fans in attendance. The atmosphere is warm & exciting. I’m very much looking forward to my next visit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Coastal Shrimp & Crab Dip, Shrimp & Garlic Linguine Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section Vegetarian options: I ordered the Mediterranean hummus & it was a delicious…and also a vegan option.
