Rate on all is a zero star. I recently visited Bluefin and placed a hibachi order totaling $51. I asked for extra yum yum sauce and was told there would be an additional charge of $0.61 per sauce. I questioned the cashier, explaining that after spending over $50 on my order, I was surprised I would be charged extra for a small amount of sauce. She explained that it was due to the owner’s policy, so I asked if I could speak with him. When the owner came over, the way the situation was handled was very disappointing. His response was that they have to charge because they “spend more on the sauce because of the container and lid.” While I understand businesses have costs, the explanation and the way it was communicated felt unnecessary and dismissive. What’s frustrating is that this was never about the $0.61. It was about customer appreciation and the bigger picture. A returning customer who regularly spends $50, $60, $70, or even $100 per visit should feel valued. Instead, it felt like the focus was on nickel-and-diming a loyal customer over something so small. Unfortunately, because of this experience, Bluefin has lost a customer who has supported their business and planned to continue coming back. Customer service and how you treat people matters, and this interaction left a very negative impression. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I got the vegetable melody hibachi with Tofu added. It would be great to have tofu hibachi as a menu option, as my request to add tofu to the veggie hibachi surprised my waitress. It comes with chicken soup and ginger salad appetizers. The ginger salad is your usual refreshing iceberg lettuce mix with their house ginger dressing- i love how saucy it was. I ended up eating my salad with a spoon by the end to enjoy that extra dressing. YES, im a sauce freak. Their sauce was sweet and thin, very light on the ginger, more carrot and oil. The soup was nice and hot, but flavor wise was pretty bland. The most flavor I got from the soup was from the few thin slices of green onion, which was notably a lovely contrast to the hot soup. Within a minute or two of getting my appetizers my food arrived, I wish it came a bit more spaced out so I had time to savor my appetizers, but I appreciate hot food and fast service. Hibachi here comes with fried rice, which seems to be rice, oil, a few dashes of soy sauce, several sauteed diced onion bits, and the barest hit of scrambled egg. Rice is cooked well, but pretty much tastes like oily regular rice with essence of sautéed onion. The tofu was fine, fried lightly and cut into smaller chunks. The veggies are super chopped, thinner than I usually see at hibachi places but im not complaining. I appreciate the variety of veggies (onion, green and red bell peppers, cabbage, broccoli, carrot, mushrooms, baby corn, zucchini). Veggies are sautéed with oil.. and maybe just a hint of soy sauce? They just taste like sautéed veggies with oil really. Im missing that classic hibachi sauce that gives this dish flavor at its base without the added yum yum sauce. As for the yum yum sauce, you get 2 little cups of it with each order. It was helpful and gave the hibachi better flavor but it still needed help from a base flavor. Overall, my meal was hot and filling - portion size was great for the $16 I paid. I can't complain. And I appreciate that the rest of their menu states you can replace meat with Tofu for vegetarians/vegans. Thank you guys for catering to that! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Vegetarian options: Per the menu, all meat can be replaced with Tofu. Yay for tofu options!
