Koenji whole spice curry blue indigo 5 I hear that Koenji is a curry mecca along with Jimbocho and Takadanobaba. Today, I visited Aoi, which has been rumored to have delicious spicy chicken curry. It's easy to find, about a 10 minute walk from the north exit of Koenji Station. The entrance is small and narrow, but inside there are counter seats that can seat about 10 people. First, use the food ticket machine to push the 1,000 yen spicy chicken curry, the restaurant's most popular menu item. After ordering, the master started frying the curry roux. Arrange the turmeric rice in a neat hemisphere and serve with the medicinal herbs on a cobalt blue plate. The food was served as shown in the photo. First, when you take a sip of the roux, the aromatic incense will hit your tongue. This is the first time I've had a spiced chicken curry that is so particular about spices and medicinal ingredients. The chicken seems to have been slowly simmered and melted into the roux. It doesn't have a tingling, dry taste on your tongue, but instead has a variety of spices that make you sweat slowly. Among independent curry specialty shops, I think it's on par with Curry M in Onarimon.
