We was referred as we're trying to find small resturants to eat at while traveling Iowa on the motorcycle. We will be back, the food was good, the staff was super friendly and the PIE was amazing

Only second time we have ordered and both times it has been very good! Love the Bolt Burger!! Also nice seeing local kids being employed!! Great for the town!! It’s hard keeping a small town restaurant going, keep up the good work!!!

I waited on this review for a short time until I'd patronized the cafe for at least a couple dozen meals. As is the case with any establishment there are small hurdles to jump and a learning curve in which to adjust when you start out. The ownership and staff quickly worked through some initial bugs and appear to be really up to task at this point. It would be hard to argue otherwise considering they had to expand their hours to accommodate more business. Good problems to have, right? All in all the ingredients used in the food are very high quality with an emphasis on top shelf beef and pork. The daily menu is the right size and they cater to the customer's needs. The daily specials are well chosen and diverse. You won't suffer "the same old thing" from the Blue Ribbon Cafe... The service is attentive and I enjoy dining among family and friends often. As I began my review I mentioned that I waited for a bit to provide a thorough and honest reflection of my experiences. I'm glad I did. Two thumbs way up! Enjoy your meal at the Blue Ribbon Cafe.
