This is my absolute most favorite restaurant by far!! The daily specials are THE BEST to be found anywhere (and I am including New Orleans), and let's not even talk about the mouth-watering array of baked from-scratch desserts... my favorite being the lemon icebox pie They will make you a custom breakfast burrito that will make you wanna slap yo' momma!! If you love home cooking and a home-grown family business, you will love the Blue Rose Cafe & Bakery. Christina Cox and her mother, Gina are the culinary masterminds in the kitchen that will bring you something homemade each time. You'll feel right at home here in their cozy restaurant/cafe nestled on the outskirts of the Industriplex area off of Cloverland & Airline Hwy. They are open Monday-Friday for breakfast or lunch. In the mornings, you'll find their stuffed biscuits, fried grit cake sandwiches and more. For lunch time, you are in for a treat because the have daily lunch specials, po-boys, salad, pasta and desserts. Be sure to check-in on Yelp for a special sweet treat. Everything I have ever had here has been tasty and prepared with love. I typically eat like a bird during lunchtime, so I always end up bringing a goodie-bag home. Check their refrigerated case that almost always has desserts ready for you to take home; however, if they don't have a dessert you'd like to have, place and order for it and they will whip something up for you! I recently ordered a berry Chantilly cake and it was too beautiful to eat, but someone had to dig into it. The cake was moist and delicious and I hope to order another one soon. If you need a space for your a private party, they can definitely accommodate for you or if you need their space for a lunch meeting. I love it because they even have some outdoor dining space, too, for when the weather is nice, of course. So, bookmark them here on Yelp and be sure visit them on Monday-Friday for lunch or dinner!
