Very tasty food! If you're not accustomed to spicy hot you may want to forgo the spices. My friend had yummy chicken Katsa & I had mild beef hot pot. The mango jasmine tea was delicious too! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We recently discovered Boiling Pot in Anchorage, and it’s quickly become one of those places you want to keep in your back pocket when a hot pot craving hits. Hot pot, in its traditional form, is usually a very communal dining experience—a large simmering pot of broth placed in the center of the table, with everyone sharing and cooking their own meats, vegetables, noodles, seafood etc. in the same pot. It’s often a social, slow-paced meal where the experience is just as important as the food itself. Most authentic hot pot restaurants lean into this shared setup with larger tables, multiple broths, and a wide spread of raw ingredients to cook as you go. Boiling Pot offers a more streamlined, smaller scale version of that experience but it still captures the essence of what makes hot pot comforting and satisfying. It’s less overwhelming than the traditional setup. We ordered a pot each, as is, without adding extras, and were genuinely surprised at how filling it was. Even with our usual big appetites, we left completely full. The soup bases were good too, possibly not the best broth I’ve ever had in a hot pot experience but still good. If you like heat, don’t skip their secret Thai spicy house sauce, make sure to ask for it. I have a high spice tolerance so it hit the spot for me. Overall, Boiling Pot is a great find in Anchorage: approachable if you’re new to hot pot, but still flavorful enough to satisfy people who already love it. It may be smaller in scale than traditional hot pot spots, but it doesn’t feel like it’s missing anything essential. The whole time K-POP music was playing Glad to see more Asian restaurants in town. Was craving soup all week, and have never had hot pot before - so this was a first time experience and is easily going to be a regular place to visit while in town! The hot pot was even better than expected and had every spark of authenticity... They had yummy, yummy, citron tea and ice cream! Nicest vibe of a restaurant I've been to here in Anchorage. V satisfied with everything and highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
