This was my first time visiting Bolay while traveling from out of the country, and I was excited to try it because my family here highly recommended it. The food itself was good, but the experience was disappointing. When I ordered, I was never told that adding steak or avocado would cost extra. I only found out after receiving the bill, where I was charged almost $6 more than I expected. If I had been informed beforehand, I could have decided whether I wanted those additions. As a visitor unfamiliar with the menu and pricing, I relied on the staff to communicate any additional charges. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, which left me feeling misled. It’s disappointing because this was supposed to be a nice first experience with my family, but instead I left feeling frustrated. I hope Bolay does a better job of informing customers about extra charges in the future so others don’t have the same experience. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Wanted to find a restaurant where we could eat with someone who had celiac. Not only was everything definitely safe, but it was genuinely delicious. Really enjoyed the black rice. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Vegetarian options: Tofu and lots of potential vegetarian options to build your own bowl. Dietary restrictions: All gluten free restaurant, great for celiacs

Bolay is my son's favorite restaurant. He loves that there are numerous healthy options that actually taste really good. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. Always a good experience.
