British food is worth a try here. Here you will be able to taste perfectly cooked fish & chips, rump steaks and gammon. At this bar, visitors may try good christmas pudding, biscuits and yorkshire pudding. You will be offered delicious lager, cask ale or wine. It's a must to order great tea or good coffee while coming to Bold Forester.
The warm atmosphere of this place makes customers feel relaxed and have a good time. Many reviewers find that the staff is appealing at this place. Initially, we sat outside but, being of a certain age, we moved inside to "Table 40" !!
The meals were served with no problem & special thanks to the barman who apologised & said that the "Old Moor Porter" (I may have got it's name wrong-sorry !!) hadn't actually run out but that ..."a ball had dropped in the cellar barrel , at which point a few pints of this were ordered !!
This same barman &, sorry, don't know his name but he had a really nice beard, and for a beer which cost £3+ (With a CAMRA discount) I accidently handed him £5 + & upon realising this, he returned the £2 to me so, yes, in summing up, this being the 1 st. pub we had visited for nearly 18 months for the most of us, a big thank you to all the staff for your hard work , especially , from when we got there at 6 pm, you were REALLY busy !!
