An excellent meal for our first visit. The staff were all great and took good care of us. We chilled on the canal side veranda as we arrived a tad early. The beef melted off the bone and the chicken was tasty with a delicious sauce. The only accompaniment were the tasty fries. Loved the atmosphere and the live music. We liked the fixed price and BYOb too. We’ll return! Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: 8 Hour Beef Shortrib

Had a delicious meal at Bone this evening, would highly recommend! The drinks were divine, the garlic bread was crispy and soft, we split and shared the short rib and chicken thigh - both were delicious and the contrast between the two was very welcome! We also had both desserts - a rich, warm, crispy cookie with gelato, and French toast with blueberry compote, which was super moreish. The real stand-out was the service; we were looked after by Faisal, who was a total delight and really made our night! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Brown Butter French Toast, 8 Hour Beef Shortrib, Cookie with White Chocolate

I visited Bone Hoxton last night after seeing so much hype on TikTok, but unfortunately the experience fell far below expectations. First, the seating was extremely disappointing. We were sat on the same table as two other people, which was very uncomfortable and definitely not what you expect on a date night. My partner and I eat out often, and we’ve never experienced this kind of seating arrangement before, at a more expensive restaurant. We asked to be moved but were told we couldn’t. We were also one of the first to arrive. If I had known the seating would be like this, I would’ve genuinely avoided booking altogether. For the price customers are paying, you’d expect to at least be seated comfortably. I’m still not sure what the logic behind this seating plan is, but it really affected the experience. The food was also below average. Everything was bland overall, which was surprising considering the hype around the place. Nothing amazed me and surprisingly some of my short rib was tougher than expected? The only saving grace was our server, Cal. He was amazing, super friendly, warm, and attentive. His great service genuinely prevented this from being one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. If I could rate him separately, he’d get 5 stars. Overall, sadly not worth the hype or uncomfortable dining experience. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1
