A renovated Showa-era house reinforced with a sound proofed walls and manually opened, guarded vault door; Bonobo offers an intimate venue for experimental music enthusiasts, Avant-garde listeners and underground music lovers alike. Situated in the heart of Tokyo music scene, a hidden gem contrasting the neighboring mainstream Techno-ed “Vent” and ear-piercing EDM-kids’ playground “Camelot”. Fully equipped with moderately sounding sound system that obviously needed a better AUX cord so no one will trip on it during the event . The entrance fee ($~$$) will mostly include a Tokyo-standard watered down drink, a beer would be a great choice if you need more options to un-sober yourself.I won’t recommend this club for people who are:1. Claustrophobic, it can get a little crowded and there won’t even be a space to dance; it also can get hot in there.2. Not used to 2nd hand smoke; I agree their ventilation needs upgrading.3. Noob, obviously. Always check their calendar so you will have an idea what kind of music they will be hosting. The staff will ask most people (we were asked) to refrain from talking loudly outside on the street when you decided to get some “fresh air” as the place is within residential area.
