I think this is a great bar for someone looking for a very chill vibe in Taipei. I stumbled across it looking for another bar and ended up abandoning my search once I showed up here. The bartender was nice and helpful. The concept of the bar is either buying a book and getting a beer or buying a beer and getting to read books there while you drink it. Never seen that before and it works! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: NT$400–600

Tucked away in Taipei, Bookbar1920s is a cozy spot that feels like stepping into a 1920s speakeasy with a literary twist. The bartender’s warm, welcoming vibe instantly makes you feel at home, and their knack for recommending drinks is spot-on. The bar boasts an impressive lineup of wines, whiskeys, and craft beers, plus shelves full of books that add a unique charm. I loved sipping a smooth whiskey and Beer while flipping through a classic novel—perfect combo highly recommend this place. 7/22/2025. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
