You will enjoy its food, particularly tasty pork and nicely cooked sandwiches. Delicious beer or good wine are among the most often ordered drinks at this bar. You will hardly forget great coffee that you can degust.
Select between indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is said to be cute here. Based on the guests' opinions, prices are fair. Books & Brews with the charming atmosphere can be a good dining place on your route.

Now Church St Social, this is a fun place to come! The food is alright (the buffalo cauliflower is pretty good! Definitely stood out beyond other food i've had here) and the drinks aren't necessarily the best deal, but Trivia is fun and you can get an unpretentious martini here and it'll do the trick.

Aka church street social now! The food options I've tried are fine, they aren't anything special and there just are better choices of places to eat in Oxford. However, their drinks are good, they have a nice selection. My most recent fav find is their espresso martini. The environment is also casual and cute, it's a chill place to hang out. Appreciate their patio because there aren't a ton of outdoor places to eat/drink in Oxford!!!

My friend and I went to Books & Brews for a quick bite last night before an event. It turned out to be anything but quick. When we entered, the woman at the bar let us know that we could seat ourselves. We found a table within view of the bar. It didn't appear to be busy at all but we waited a good 15 minutes for anyone to come and serve us. After no other human interaction after those 15 minutes my friend started to get fed up and went to the bar to ask for some menus (at least those!). A man at the bar told her that if she took a seat that someone would be with us in a moment. We waited another 10 minutes before we grabbed the first waitress that walked by our table. She acted shocked and told us that she was in the middle of a shift change and that's why it was taking so long. We finally got a couple of menus a few minutes later and decided to order an $8 appetizer since our event was starting soon. As you can guess, it took about another 10-15 minutes to get our appetizer of pita bread, carrots, and hummus. I was so disappointed with the service that night. I actually apologized to my friend since I was the one who suggested books & brews. I see other reviews that are great, so maybe it was just an off night. I may give it one more chance, but if service is like that again I won't be going back.
