This is a Chinese restaurant serving Chinese food. But they completely change the cooking recipe ,maybe to meet the local taste. If you have ever tried the original Chinese or you want some original Chinese, This restaurant is not an option. I do not know where the chefs are from,if they are from China,I do think they have no cooking experience before. Usually in China,even in the chinese restaurants in new york. The 麻婆豆腐，Mapo Tofu ,the Tofu should be cut into small pieces ,but here serving the whole box of Tofu without cutting,just pouring the spicy oil on the whole Tofu. maybe saving time!of course,People here are friendly. Cozy and amazingly tasty restaurant that also locals go to. I had omiraisu and gyoza which was both very good! The staff is kind, helpful and was happy I liked it so much. When sitting at the counter, you can watch the cooks prepare meals. Highly recommended! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

March 2024 This is an old-fashioned set meal restaurant. You won't be able to settle down and stay for a long time, but it's no wonder that it's a long-established store with affordable prices and has remained popular for a long time. The store is located 1 minute walk from Asakusa Station (Tobu, Toei, Metro). Botan's menu features a wide selection of Chinese dishes such as omelette rice and dumplings. Particularly popular are gomokuyaki soba, fried rice, mapo rice bowl, and stir-fried meat and vegetable set meals. I often see drunk and loud customers eating nearby, but this is a Chinese restaurant where you can feel at ease.
