really great atmosphere and service, but food was standard of course. i mean not sure what i can expect, since cafes tend to focus on aesthetics rather than food. ordered a croissant that was a bit overpriced but was all right. again, very nice atmosphere and decor though! staff were also incredibly kind to us! didn’t try the drinks but my friends ordered, and they seemed very cute. Loved this new café on Queen West! The space feels like a mix of a vintage library and a botanical garden, with lots of plants, warm wood furniture, and beautiful natural light. I ordered the Peanut Butter Latte and tiramisu. The latte was surprisingly delicious—smooth, nutty, and not overly sweet. The tiramisu was light, creamy, and paired perfectly with the coffee. They also have creative seasonal drinks like the Lychee Rose Matcha Latte and Strawberry Matcha, plus Vietnamese coffee options and light breakfast items. It gets busy on weekends, so come early if you want a seat. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Smashing IT! Step inside the world of European cafés, no passport required, just a love for all things magical and an appreciation for exceptional coffee. The moment you walk through the doors, you're instantly transported to another world filled with lush greenery, captivating artwork, and enchanting book-lined spaces that make sipping your favourite beverage feel even more special. The atmosphere carries a touch of wizarding wonder, reminiscent of the cozy corners and magical charm found within the pages of a Harry Potter novel. Nestled in the heart of Queen Street West, where Toronto's trendsetters and creatives gather, Botanic Coffee & Caphe is a hidden gem that offers a welcoming, whimsical, and enchanting escape from the bustle of city life. Treat yourself to one of their delicious sweets, the perfect companion to your favourite drink. Their specialty matcha creations are particularly refreshing, leaving you feeling energized and ready to take on the world. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a quiet moment alone, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, this café offers the perfect balance of comfort and charm. Before you leave, be sure to visit the library tucked away at the back of the café, where the warm, cozy ambience invites you to slow down, relax, and lose yourself in a good book. It's the kind of space where you half expect a young wizard to emerge from behind a shelf, wand in hand, ready for their next adventure. The Staff are exceptionally friendly and warm which adds an extra layer of magic and charm the place. Trust me once you step inside the Botanic Coffee Shop you'll never will want to leave.
