We had afternoon tea in The Botanic Room followed by cocktails in the Palm Court to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This hotel is a real haven in the centre of a bustling city. Food & drink was all absolutely exquisite; service was friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't want to leave! Can't recommend it highly enough. Meal type: Other Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Enjoyed a lovely evening for "Cocktails after dark" in the Botanic Tearoom. Service was wonderful from the moment we arrived to the minute we left. Food was delicious, cocktails were OK, but all rather weak and didn't seem to be the same strength as those we've previously had in the Municipal on multiple other occasions. I assume because they were included in the cost of the evening they were made with less alcohol. Overall though a really good night and we'd all go again.
