In the hectic chaos that can be Tulum, Botanica is a breath of fresh air. The rooms are pretty simple but par for the course at the price you’re paying. What you’re getting is much more than that. Fernando and the rest of the team are simply lovely, helpful with anything you may need and will make you feel the most welcome. The bar and inner courtyard and pool are a beautiful place to relax during the day and the daily included breakfast is delicious. It’s a short walk from quite a few good restaurants and bar downtown and a short drive away if you’re looking more for the beach. Highly recommend for a very different chill Tulum experience! Most gorgeous hostel I have ever stayed at. Every detail is thought of, incredible breakfast and coffee included, volunteers and staff all super kind and welcoming, free bike rental. Memory foam pillow and comfy dorm bed, spacious kitchen with all needed cooking amenities. It gives more of a hotel than hostel vibe as lots of private rooms but overall, clean, comfortable, chill and relaxing. Service: 5

Botanica is highly rated overall and with very good reason. My girlfriend and I visited for 4 nights and were very impressed by the hostel, staff, service and location. We took a private suite for the two of us, with our own toilet and shower. Prior to our arrival Alejandra contacted us with the necessary information for our visit. We were welcomed by the very friendly Fernando who sat us down in the community area and offered drinks on the house. Alejandra proceeded with the check-in, which was very rapid and helped us get to our room. During our stay the whole team was super friendly, gave amazing tips on what to do in Tulum and also ins-and-outs on what to avoid/watch out for. They hold a very high standard of quality, are communicatively strong and are always ready to help. We sometimes wondered when the staff would sleep because they were busy with the guests every time we saw them. :-) Facility-wise they exceeded our expectations as well. They offer complimentary use of their bicycles, some better than others, but they have a large collection to use from. Breakfast was included with our booking as well. Initially, we wanted to have breakfast outdoors so we could visit the many highly rated options. But after having breakfast there the first day we had breakfast there every day because it was SO good. We could choose from an avocado sandwhich, waffles or yoghurt granola complimented with coffee/tea and a juice to our liking which were all amazing options. As the cherry on top of the cake, Alejandra went out of her way to help me out arranging a proposal to my girlfriend in another city which she absolutely didn't have to do but chose to anyhow. We would definitely recommend Botanica Tulum to anyone who would like a friendly accommdation with a very personal approach from the staff. We know we'll be back when we go to Tulum again.
