Miserably run house in a prime position We spent 4 nights in this so-called boutique hotel. Our room was small, filled with teddy bears and similar kitsch, furnished with the cheapest, barely usable plywood furniture. The largest room was taken up by an oversized flat screen and a huge mirror. The curtain was half torn down when we arrived and wasn't installed until we left. The owner of the "Palazzo Dei Vescovi" is the owner of the "Tana del Lupo", one of the large restaurants at the entrance to the town. He seems only concerned with giving the place the appearance of a good hotel. In reality, a lot of things don't work: the room door couldn't be locked, the shower surround is broken, the toilet lid is broken. On the ground floor there is a bar, a room that looks like an upscale restaurant (but it isn't, nothing takes place here), the ice cream parlor promises "Gelato del Palazzo Dei Vescovi". But it is not home-made ice cream, but factory-made ice cream of very poor quality that is sold at overpriced prices. Conclusion: more appearance than reality. A pity. With a little attention this house could be turned into something very beautiful. Rooms: 2 Service: 2 Location: 5

My husband and I stayed one night in this beautiful hotel with an ancient flavor and we had a very good time, excellent welcome, the room was comfortable, large and warm. Excellent breakfast with fresh, quality products and good dinner, excellent pizza. The village of Casertavecchia is a small jewel. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Quiet, Great value
