What I like about this place - they never overcomplicate food! It is reminding me home style food with a touch of chef's ideas! The vibe is so cozy regardless of the season! First off, I want to acknowledge and praise Richard for his outstanding service; he is the epitome of service excellence. We felt welcome and invited from the moment we stepped foot in the door. Second, I brought my family here for my wife’s birthday and heard nothing but praise all night (and multiple times afterwards) regarding what an excellent choice I made in going here. From the very short, but wonderful walk up to the establishment (which tricks you into thinking you are out of town). To the cosy and classy atmosphere that strikes the right balance between intimacy and spaciousness, I am confident in saying this is the type of place you need to experience, and do so more than once. I am confident in saying this is our new destination for family dining and celebration. Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly options and variations were on point Kid-friendliness: Although a classy establishment, I did not get posh vibes, or elitism which speaks to the feel of what a ranch should be. No one took themselves too seriously, which made having my child with me an enjoyable experience. This was our first time visiting Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant. We attended for high tea to celebrate my mom's birthday. When we were sat, we were provided the menu for high tea with no explanation of how it worked. We asked the individual seating us a few questions about how the experience works and she said she didn't know. We asked if she could ask for us...and then she never came back. Was kind of a strange way to start the experience. Once our server came around, it was a pleasant experience though the napkins and plates smelt like vinegar and the plates were wet when they came out? Otherwise the experience was pleasant and our waitress was lovely and even brought my mom an extra special birthday treat. When we first arrived at 2pm it was very busy but died down quite quickly which was nice.
