We were in the area and tried on the off-chance for some food. Not only did we get food after 3pm on a Sunday, we managed to get a tasty roast dinner. The yorkie was freshly made, not out of the freezer. The veggie roast had a lot of veg - tender stem broccoli, baby corn, leaks, parsnip, carrots, greens, runner beans - plus a beetroot wellington and a cauli cheese on the side. We left very satisfied. The only minor criticism is the potatoes may have been reheated ( it was late in the day) and the cauli cheese could be cheesier - it was a banger otherwise Service: 5

What a gem! Amazing roasts (great portions) with lovely cooked veg. Half oldy wordly half new. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Would recommend making a beeline from the motorway. Great beers too. Service: 5

We had a wake at The Bowl Inn 11 March, which was the first time I had been there. I have to say it was really lovely. The service was great from the time of booking to the actual event and the staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and very respectful. The food was fabulous, clearly good quality fresh ingredients and some superb home made sausage rolls and quiches. Plus the cakes were particularly good. It was such a nice setting, I would highly recommend. Thank you Service: 5
