This small iconic Yorkshire Restaurant has been established since 1962. Now owned by husband and wife team Simon & Rena Gueller. The menu showcases modern fine dining with classical roots, that is complimented with its extensive wine cellar carefully selected by the head Sommelier Didier.
Simon and his kitchen brigade display commitment to the best produce, with an emphasis on locally sourced fresh ingredients from farmers and other local suppliers. The front of house team led by Rena & Chris is friendly, warm and welcoming yet proffesional and efficient, allowing for a complete and unforgettable experience.

Was okay but they was bringing soufflés out for a party up stairs, I cheekily asked for one, they said no, I’m not being funny but £300 meal least could chuck us one in, might as well spat in my face, food was okay tho. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

We enjoyed a fantastic meal earlier this week. The restaurant has recently been refurbished, and the ambience and surroundings made it a wonderful place to spend an evening. The food was superb, the service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We can’t wait to return! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £100+

Throughly enjoyed our lunch at the Box Tree restaurant yesterday. The food was first class , staff attentive but unobtrusive. The staff were very knowledgable about the dishes that were on the menu. Have never been disappointed with a meal here just wish it was a little nearer to where we live. Overall excellent value.
