This was the first time we’d ever stopped at the pub on our trip back to Canberra. We were pleasantly surprised, lovely period interior, a great looking new beer garden & a new menu they are testing. Hubby had the fish & chips and I had the zucchini linguine. We were impressed with the new owner wanting feedback on the meal, the linguine needed more flavour & the pasta was perfect. We’ll be back, there are lots of great plans for the pub! Price per person: $40–60 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Stopped into the Braidwood Hotel for lunch as we were travelling with our dogs and this hotel is dog friendly. Unfortunately food was unavailable due to a change of chefs (new chef starting later in the week) but we had a couple of drinks to cool down on a hot day. Nice old pub and friendly staff, our doggies loved it as well. Will definitely visit again and try a meal. Price per person: $1–20 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I'm so delighted I found this gem. Nice food, great service, and dogs allowed. We had a fantastic lunch and can't wait to come back. I had the chicken schnitzel and my husband had chicken parmigiana, both were tasty. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
