I came to try this place out for Brunch and was looking forward for some Brazilian inspired items but there’s nothing Brazilian about the food. They had tacos and the options weren’t even Brazilian, they had a strawberry danish latte and cloud matcha and no Brazilian theme or ingredients in sight, I’m confused. Did they just keep the name and changed the menu? Then I’m reading the reviews and people have given this feedback and I see how their social media person responds. I’m sure they’ll be defensive on this feedback also but thought I’d share anyways. Parking in Montrose is always awful so you’ll park in the neighborhood. Hi AM,We're sorry you didn't enjoy you recent experience with us. Brasil is a small business that has been operating in this space for 35 years. The owner opened our location as a coffee shop after living in Brazil and was attempting to capture the atmosphere of being in the country. While we have grown in many ways over the years, we are proud that we can serve locally sourced food and support our community. That being said, we are certainly not trying to deceive people, and our full menu is available online. Have a great day!Brasil Management

How dare you to bring the name of the country with the “S” and not have one single Brazilian dish on your menu. Change the name urgently. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30

If you value your time, money, and basic respect as a customer, steer clear of Brasil Café in Houston. This place might look inviting from the outside, but don’t be fooled—the owner and management create one of the most unwelcoming and downright hostile atmospheres I’ve ever encountered. From the moment you walk in, the owner seems more interested in rushing customers out the door than providing any sort of hospitality. Forget about leisurely enjoying your meal or coffee—expect to be pressured to leave the second you finish your last bite. The attitude is condescending, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Beyond the terrible service, the owner has an undeniable reputation for inappropriate, offensive behavior. If you’re expecting a place where all patrons are treated with basic human decency, this is not it. I witnessed behavior that was not only rude but outright discriminatory, making it clear that certain customers are treated with preference while others are made to feel unwelcome.
