Cute bakery with sweet and savory food and some drinks for cheap. I really recommend and its nice to support smaller local businesses and way fresher then the conbini Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you visit Sakurajima, do not skip this cute roadside bakery run by a husband & wife team. There are plenty different styles of Japanese pastries freshly made daily. And price is very reasonable. Picked up my lunch today: turtle-shaped cream-filled bread, red bean paste bun - my benchmark for Japanese bakery, tonkatsu sandwich, curry beef fried pastry (shown individually); all just for ¥855 (less than $6!). I like the savory ones the most especially the curry beef puff; it was beefy and had a very pleasant aroma to it. I will be back next time I visiting the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We went in to pick up some pastries for a quick lunch on the go. The woman who checked us out threw in two free croissants, and I am glad she did. They were, hands down, the best croissants I have ever had. Definitely recommend checking this place out, and getting croissants, from Bread Booth8.
