The Australian cuisine attracts visitors looking for a new experience. When visiting this bar, it's a must to try delicious draft beer. Clients don't like salt and pepper squid at Hotel Illawong.

You can listen to live music in the evening. A lot of people mark that the bar staff is cheerful here. The calm ambiance will be exactly just what you need after a hard working week. But this place is not highly estimated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

Cheapest accommodation anywhere - but you get what you pay for. The whole upstairs is in dire need of a refurb, but then prices of the rooms would increase accordingly. If you just need a bed for the night and a shower it's fine. Beds are fairly comfy and sheets and towels are clean, aircon and tv are a bonus. The kitchenette is hardly that though - there is no cutlery or crockery (maybe it's all been taken ), just a dirty microwave and toaster. No fridge either. Still, for $55 a single room I won't complain too much. Rooms: 2 Service: 3 Location: 4

We have eaten here twice, first time the mussels on the specials was probably the worst meal I have ever eaten in my life and the rest of the food was pretty yuck, we just went there with our family of 8 adults, and 2 kids, paid $35 for fish which was horribly tough and veges were so gross, the other meals were also pretty sub par considering the price, the only one that was really good was the pizza but gave that person the runs. Over priced and not good. The young girl on the bar was lovely. Service: 2

Hotel Illawong was an absolutely incredible stay. My friends and I (3 Americans) were backpacking down the coast and came across this bar. We learned it was a hotel, booked a stay, and it was easily the nicest accommodation we stayed in the whole trip. It’s not the nicest in the world compared to some luxury resort, but for a few backpackers it was far nicer than any hostel or motel we stayed at for a fraction of the cost. Was very impressed with the whole staff too. Sunny, the GM, in particular was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. This was a bright spot on our holiday, and I’ll be talking about the stay here for years.
