We had three fantastic days at the Bridge Hotel in Buttermere. The location is nested nicely at a little river and only a five minute walk from the lake, the scenery is spectacular, the rooms are cosy, super tidy and to the highest standards. No TV - thank god - but a free car park with possibility to charge your EV. The seated breakfast - yeah, not buffet - is one of the best I have ever had. And the staff is super attentive and very very friendly. This is as 5 star as it gets. Service: 5

A beautifully located place to stop after a good day's hiking in Buttermere. It is dog-friendly and serves a nice selection of snacks and meals, along with local beers. The staff are friendly and efficient. Service: 5
