Great place with professional and friendly staff. The rooms are nice too, no issues there, especially for the price. Good location and perfect for walking the local hills. Normally when staying at an inn, I’m concerned about the noise from the bar making it difficult to sleep, but here the rooms were a good distance from the bar so we never heard a thing. Nearby activities: The local hills are right next to the town. Walk up the road across the bridge and north of the inn, and go up to the information board. That’s where the nearest hike spot begins. Go left for the walking route to Alva Glen and the silver mines. Go straight ahead for the beautiful route into the valleys. Go right and up the stairs on the left for the route up to King’s Seat and Dollar. Be safe and check weather. Safety: Great fire safety briefing from the staff. The place is super up to safety codes and standards. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Great value
