Place used to be absolutely bussin'. Good food. Better service. But then Brooke (from whom the establishment was named) resigned.....it's sad to see a business fall apart. And I mean, Post Malone, "Faaaalllll Apartttt!" Now sits the weathered bones of a childhood memory from wence I used to frequent. Moral of the story? When you have a great employee....you treat her right baby. Because if you don't? You become a parking lot. A parking lot where even a 1997 honda civic won't dare to frequent. On god's hopes we float. Ramen.

If you can get past the funkiness of the interior, you should enjoy a meal at Brooks Ranch. All within just four short years, this establishment has changed names twice, but from what I understand, is still under the same ownership/management. What began as Jeb's Country Cooking inexplicably changed to Jeb's Blueberry Hill, and now Brooks Ranch. Even the staff finds this rolodex insane. But the two missing stars from my review is aimed at the weirdness and run-down, dirty look of the interior. It resembles a bad 1950's Arkansas garage sale. And as a few other diners have pointed out, cleanliness can be an issue at Brooks Ranch. The menu is extensive and in at least ten visits over the past few years, I have never once regretted going there. On different occasions, I have had burgers, meatloaf, fish filets, prime rib, steak, salads, French Dip sandwich, biscuits and gravy, and I don't know what all. I have never once had a bad meal there. I am always very happy with my choice and I leave full and sated. They know what they are doing here, I have never encountered a 'greasy' meal. The servers are most often helpful, understanding and attentive. I nearly always have to take some home, though... large portions. They are reasonably priced and offer enough variety to please most anyone... with the probable exception of someone like Gordon Ramsay, no doubt. He would probably morph in to 'Hork Man' at the front door. Bottom Line: If you want something you can easily afford that is tasty, fast, filling and done right, Brooks Ranch is a MUST TRY. But if you're looking for a nice dining room from the standpoint of decor, spiffiness and atmosphere, you will undoubtedly be disappointed.
