Our visit to the Brookside Inn was pleasant. The Pub itself was clean tidy and very welcoming and the staff were also friendly and helpful. The food was your typical pub food, I had the chicken wings to start with which were lovely but the battered fish for my main wasn't so nice, I'm no expert but to me the batter tasted like the oil needed changing and my mushy peas were cold and a few more chips would have been nice (maybe the chef was having an off day), the kids did say thier food and portion size were ok but not amazing. For me The Brookside Inn isn't a place I would rush back to but If I was passing I might pop back in to try something else off the menu. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
