Note: I recall writing a 5 star review for this shop. Now I changed it to 1. I recently moved my office to Wood Street and started coming to this place regularly. Initially, the staff were friendly, and I enjoyed the food. However, I had a disappointing experience yesterday. I asked if they could pour some kitchen sauce on my chips and cod, which they usually do for free. The owner (I believe) was like don't worry I will give you the packet instead. He gave it to me, but then charged me for it. I explained politely that I only wanted a little poured on, as they had always done before, why did he not want to pour it. To my surprise, the owner responded rudely, despite my calm and friendly approach. I wouldn’t have minded paying if this was the rule, but the inconsistency is frustrating. I've spent £13 every visit since moving nearby, but I won’t be returning. It's not about the cost of the sauce—just the principle of being consistent with your policies.

Where do I start? If I could give zero stars I would. New Customer who ordered tonight through Deliveroo. The Driver arrived before the scheduled delivery time and sat on his bike 2 doors away from my house so I was uncertain if the delivery was for me. After about 10 minutes he rode off and returned 15 minutes later. I knew the order would be cold but what I was not expecting was the wrong order. I have a fish allergy and had ordered no fish products whatsoever but received scampi, amongst other things. Called the Brothers Fish Bar who were not in the least bit interested or apologetic and said that I needed to contact Deliveroo. Contacted Deliveroo who said that I will receive a Credit Note. Told them that I have no intention of using them or Brothers Fish Bar ever again and want a refund. My Complaint is now being escalated so will have to await the outcome. Regarding the food, the only things that I would have attempted to eat from what was delivered were the chips and onion rings but never tried them as they were cold, greasy and soggy. Whoever received my Order May have been surprised to have received food worth approximately £6 more that what he or she had ordered. Whether it was edible, I can’t say.
