3.5 stars. Friendly, attentive service. Good ambiance. Great music. But the food we tried could've been better. We got the burger & the chicken sandwich and shared a side of fries. The burger was undercooked. We prefer a little pink/mid-rare, but it was a little too pink and actually almost cool to the touch in the middle right after cutting it in half. The taste of the patty was just okay, it needed seasoning! The toppings, sauce and bun were fresh and good quality. I was hoping for much more flavor from the chicken sandwich. Good quality chicken. Juicy. Cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the breading on it lacked seasoning. Maybe the recipe intends for the chicken to be breaded w/ plain breadcrumbs/panko without much else? But I thought it needed at least more salt & pepper. Again, fresh, good quality toppings, sauce and bun, but the star of the show needs more flavor. Their steak-cut fries, however, are DELICIOUS! Some of the best fries I've had in Portland. Super crispy outside, which you don't find often w/ steak fries. I was still thinking of them the next day! Lol Overall, we enjoyed the place & the staff, so we're gonna give it a second chance on the food. Trying the steak frites next time! (As an aside, the wood work along the face of the bar and along the built-in benches is oddly incomplete. They put up all the wood detail, which looks great, and then I guess just never trimmed out the top and bottom, leaving gaps.) Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We stopped by this charming neighborhood spot for a quick drink and a game of Scrabble, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the S Class, a pretty and pink gin drink and holy heck, it hit me like a ton of bricks—in the best way. My friend ordered something with tajin (always a solid choice), to similar effect. The drinks fueled us through a competitive start to our Scrabble game, loosening and freeing our cognitive functions. We didn’t finish our game there, but we did finish those drinks with ease. Yum! Strongly recommend for powerful and delicious drinks, and a darling vibe. Food: 5 Atmosphere: 5
