Tasty filet américain, trout and mushroom soup will impress you at the first bite. Many people visit Buckhorn Inn to try good biscuits, peanut butter pie and chocolate cheesecakes. According to the guests' opinions, waiters serve delicious wine or good white wine. Great chocolate frappe, ice tea or juice are waiting for you at this place.

I agree with other reviewers in that this is definitely Gatlinburg's best kept secret. Dinner was absolutely delicious. Dinner is served at 7:00 sharp, and there are about 12 tables. The menu is set, so everyone gets the same 4-course meal. Each night the menu is different, and the menu for at least the next week can be found online so that you can make sure you are going on a night where the menu sounds good to you. But I don't think the chef knows how to cook something that's not good. On our particular night (tonight, our 10th anniversary), we were served fresh 7-grain bread, paella soup (which contained chicken and shrimp), Mediterranean salad (with fresh herb vinaigrette), medium rare prime rib au jus with horseradish sauce, green beans, and a twice baked potato, and double chocolate cheesecake. Everything was spectacular. The drink options were water, unsweet tea (which I had), or their special spice tea, and they also offered wine by the glass, as well as coffee (regular or decaf) after dinner. Dinner was complete by around 8:15. The service was great. The atmosphere was so quaint, warm, and cozy. There is a big fireplace in the dining room, but it was not lit tonight due to a high wind advisory. My only complaints are that parking is not abundant (or if it was, we couldn't see it in the dark), and the restroom is in the dining room right next to a table (the toilet itself was literally 3 feet from the table!). I choose Buckhorn Inn for our 10th anniversary dinner thanks to the previous reviews, and they did not steer us wrong. Thank you to the reviewers. I didn't make the reservation until a week ago, so I thought we may be too late. They happened to have 1 spot open, which even the person I spoke to said was very unusual. This is the area's slow time of year, so I'd heed the earlier reviewer's advice and book in advance (weeks or months if possible). We just got lucky. We will be back for our 15th and will choose Buckhorn Inn again!

Prime Rib. Absolutely amazing prime rib, accompanied by perfectly cooked green beans and a potato that tasted better than I knew a potato could taste. The potato was cooked with butter and some type of cheese. The prime rib was served medium rare with au jus and horseradish sauce. So good.

Double Chocolate Cheesecake. I wish I had remembered to take a picture of this delicious culinary treat. But this is all that remains. It had a chocolate cookie crust, chocolate cheesecake center, and a chocolate ganache icing. It was devine.
