What a fantastic experience at the pub! The kitchen had only just reopened after a long period of time under new management. As it was launch day to serve food I decided that I was going to visit to try out the menu even though I go there for the great quality of the beer which before I wouldn't have even considered. I ordered a burger with chips and a pint for a very good price and added a side of onion rings because the value was great. Finding the quality close to a BBQ experience, I further ordered a bacon bap, which I was also impressed with as I'm very particular about how I like my bacon cooked. The staff came over and did a check back which after a busy lunch service for a private function I found admirable. The service was smooth, others had ordered a combination of dishes, but there was no stress. Afterwards I had a few more drinks and watched The England Football game, which under any other circumstances I would have chosen to go elsewhere, but chose not to because of the great attentive service staff provided. Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
