Really great whiskey. Many options aged in wine barrels for unique characteristics. Definitely worth going here. I bought a couple.

Yeah. Fantastic. Great service in the tasting room. I do wish they had a more immersive experience in the brewing/distilling area, however, the gentleman hosting our tasting visit was extremely knowledgeable about the process and brand and was also helpful with local recommendations for food and fun. Great tasting whiskey and rum. Definitely a go to for a local experience. If I ever come back to Portland I’ll certainly pay them another visit. Tastings are free with two bottle purchase which is also another huge plus.

This was originally a 1-star review. I kept the original at the bottom. IMHO, the true test of a business is how they act when things go wrong. Its easy to be a "great people to do business with" when a transaction goes smoothly, but a lot harder when there is an issue. Shortly after posting the original review, I heard from Jennifer Medoff, the Director of Operations at Bull Run Distillery. She explained that the problem was more the fault of a Flavier, a subcontractor they have to use to ship spirits because of Oregon law. Bull Run then refunded my original purchase price for the spirits. Still not sure what, if any, of the shipping fees I will get back from Flavier, who I will never do business with again. But I would like to thank Jennifer and Bull Run for stepping up and trying to make things right. I will stop in and buy the same bottle and ship it myself. _________________________________________________________________ Original Review and Rant Sent a gift through their mail order. Received an email that said my gift had been “delivered “. Two days later I received an email that said my gift couldn’t be delivered, that I was charged $40 for return delivery, and $20 for restocking. And yes, it is no doubt all spelled out somewhere in their shipping policybut treating customers poorly doesn’t miraculously get better just because you write it down. Keep the money, I’m one-and-done as a customer.

We are very sorry to hear about that Andy. The state of Oregon does not allow us to ship to customers outside of the state. We are forced to use 3rd party shippers and outside of our control.
