With friendly service and food that arrives quickly, the restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, including Tantan Men noodles, Takoyaki, Sashimi, Okonomiyaki, Yakitori, Maki’s, Ramen, Gyoza, Tempura Udon, Toro Tataki, and more. Very nice dinner. The food is very good and they have a wide variety of Japanese dishes. We have tried some that we did not know. In addition, the restaurant is located on a very quiet pedestrian street and the staff is very attentive. 30 years of amazing food and reputation ruined by new people running the restaurant in 35 minutes. I've been coming since the 90's. This restaurant has changed hands. It is a pity, the owner has retired. The new chef/team has reduced an incredibly diverse, well put together and interesting menu that allowed you to order things like okononiyaki or Katsu curry, where most Japanese places in Barcelona didn't offer these things. Today I came in, was sat in the bar and ordered 5 dishes. It took 35 minutes of waiting for me to stand up. Not a single entrée came out. There was a general slowness to everything, they were only serving two tables. I'm very annoyed that some new chef and team are trying to ride the coat-tails of Takeshi and ruining the reputation he built over 30 years. Other things I noticed: - items in the menu that make no sense: e.g. "churrasco de ternera" - table of 6 that was just waiting - chef dissapearing into the kitchen and not being as fast on sushi bar as the old owner - this restaurant used to be filled with Japanese customers. This is no longer the case, and I suspect it will continue to be so. In conclusion: if you're going to take over a restaurant either maintain the same quality and a similar menu or have the decency of changing the restaurant to a project you believe in.
