I showed up a little before noon and the owner was just finishing a phone order. He then promptly took my order for a 1/4 lb bacon cheeseburger and fries. Fountain drink machine was not working, so I chose water instead of a can ... poured from a charcoal filter pitcher, and chilled.
After a bit, I saw 2 orders come out and shortly after a brief time I received my order. Hot, fresh off the grill the burger was served wrapped in paper in a paper boat with fries. I opened the burger and removed a dollop of Thousand Island dressing, spread the shredded lettuce around and put ketchup on the bottom bun. The top half of bun was broken. The burger did spread out, I guess filling the surface of the bun, but was curiously thin and well done. Not over done, just well done ... with the American Cheese nicely melted on it. The fries were probably prepared in the kitchen, as the sizes varied greatly. Far too many 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces of fries in my boat, but cooked crisp and not greasy. Oh, and the bacon was bacon ... served as bacon ... taken off the griddle just before it becomes that super crisp, dried out offering that so many places serve to you. Overall, a tasty meal.
