I went to the Burger King drive thru to pick up my mobile order for two sets of tacos, a crispy wrap, and apple sauce. An employee with the name tag “Paula” opened the drive thru window and informed me that they don’t have any apple sauce and then began challenging me on why I ordered apple sauce and claimed that they haven’t had any apple sauce for months. I politely told them that apple sauce is offered on their menu and is even posted outside on the drive through menu. As a resolution I told them they can substitute the item and give me something else instead. They then offered one additional taco to which I responded that I paid $1.50 for the Apple sauce and that it is two (2) tacos for $2, so they should be giving me two instead - I even offered to pay the difference of 50 cents. They ignored me and did not respond, and went inside to fulfill my order. They then came back out and gave me a bag of food, whereupon I checked my order and found that they only gave me one additional taco. I asked the manager what the issue was and questioned why I only received one taco and reiterated that I paid $1.50 for the apple sauce. His response was for me to contact corporate, upon which I questioned why they would not resolve the issue on the spot. He then brushed me off and said that if I wasn’t happy I could go complain to corporate. I was not happy with his response and attitude so I asked him what his name is and informed him that I fully intend to complain. He said that he would not provide his name. I asked him “why not? Are you not an employee and manager here?” He said he did not have to give me his name. He then offered me fries and I said “I don’t want your fries, I want your name.” He said again that he won’t give me his name then said that “there are other customers in line” and then threatened to call the cops. I became very irritated at this senseless escalation, so I drove away. I was very unhappy with his resorting to threatening me and will reach out to Burger King to resolve the issue and file a complaint against these two employees.
