My family and I stopped by the Burger Ranch while passing through Kennewick. We were served quickly, and the food was delicious; however, one of the employees (Alma?) made the atmosphere extremely tense and unwelcoming. Our order was rung up incorrectly (we were overcharged by about $0.30), but we were fine with this and asked if we could just have a ranch cup to make up the difference. The young man working the register was very friendly and helpful and said this was no problem - great customer service on his part. After sitting down with our food, we began to hear the lady YELLING at the cashier for not handling the transaction correctly. During this conversation that the whole restaurant could hear, she clearly implied that we might try to swindle them over the $0.30 that we were overcharged, and that if we decided to claim we were shorted it would be “their word against ours.” Regardless of what their procedure for handling this is, she did not need to be so abusive to the guy and make the problem known to everyone. Her yelling and demeaning lasted for at least 10 minutes. She created such an uncomfortable environment for us. We did not want to listen to her abating this younger employee (who we thought was doing a great job) AND implying negative things about us. Again, the food was delicious, but this gal seriously needs to work on her customer service and general social awareness. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $10–20

I hadn’t dined at Burger Ranch in a loooonnng time, and I absolutely loved that my experience yesterday was just like I remembered it being 20+ years ago. The menu prices were a little higher than back then, of course, but my friend and I each ordered a full-size burger and split a pound of fries, and with tax it still came to just a little over twenty dollars. The staff was polite, professional, and clearly had a smooth-running kitchen. Also, the employee who took our order was attentive, repeated everything back correctly, and brought our food right out to our table. The drive-thru line was constantly moving while we were there, and you’d never know it from the great service inside. Best of all, the burgers and fries were awesome! I rarely eat out anymore because so many places have gone downhill in quality while prices keep climbing, so this was a real treat. It was wonderful to visit a restaurant I grew up enjoying and still find it to be consistently good, reasonably priced, and worth coming back to. Great job, Kennewick Burger Ranch!!!
