I had a moderate experience at Burns Road Express. Overall, the food was quite inconsistent. The naan was disappointing — it was dry and became hard quickly, which made it difficult to enjoy with the curries. The poori, however, was decent and enjoyable. The gosht karahi had a unique but fairly plain flavour. It wasn’t bad, but it lacked depth and richness compared to what I expected. The meat itself was the biggest issue — it was very chewy and tough, which took away from the dish significantly. (I've uploaded a picture of the amount of un-edible, chewy and hard pieces I got) On the positive side, the Bihari kebab was excellent. It was soft, tender, and very flavourful, with the seasoning well blended into the meat. It would have paired perfectly with the naan if the bread had been better. The chicken chargha was also good, although it’s not really my personal preference, so I can’t judge it in detail. Food service time was average at around 15 minutes, which is acceptable but could be improved. The service overall was moderate — staff were not always readily available and didn’t seem very engaging. The atmosphere, however, was very pleasant. The restaurant was well air-conditioned, clean, and had a calm, comfortable setting with good seating and a relatively quiet environment. For dessert, the gulab jamun was okay, but the kheer was disappointing. It had a stale, fridge-like taste, as if it had been pre-made and stored for too long rather than freshly prepared. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to return, as the experience felt average and inconsistent. It’s a place I would only try once. They are famous for karachi style food. I found this time they have lots operational issue like .. no soap for handwash and no tissue papers, like no one taking note of these things. Food taste also compromised. This was my 2nd visit and I felt big difference. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: SAR 200+ Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
