My hubby and I stopped by BurntOut BBQ, 1601 Griffin Parkway, Suite A, in Mission. The space is immaculate and orderly. It’s always nice to enter a space that smells and looks clean. The owner, Gilbert, his sister, and their mom made us feel welcomed the minute we entered. They were happy to share their menu offerings and answer any questions that we had. We discovered that they do catering, too. I ordered the smoked barbacoa tacos and my hubby had the Rookie Taco. We had the option of choosing corn or flour. We chose flour. The tacos were accompanied by pico, onions, cilantro and homemade salsas. The barbacoa was plentiful and full of flavor, without any greasy oil. I dislike it when juices or grease make tortillas soggy. That was not an issue here. The Rookie taco included moist brisket and tasty sausage. The hubby had barbacoa added so he could sample it because I don’t share . My hubby loved the barbacoa so much he bought two more tacos! Beverages offered include canned sodas, water bottles, bottled root beer and hot coffee. The Sunday menu is strictly brisket and barbacoa. Beef ribs are offered only on Fridays and Saturdays. Following our meal, we were asked if we had any feedback which I really appreciated and promptly shared. We enjoyed the quick service, friendly atmosphere, and delicious food. We will definitely be back to try the beef ribs next week! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
