This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Japan. The service was incredibly rude from beginning to end. The staff made me feel unwelcome the moment I walked in, and throughout the entire visit I constantly had the impression that I was being treated differently from other customers. Whether intentional or not, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and completely unwelcome. As for the food, it was equally disappointing. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as serving quality meat dishes, the food was surprisingly mediocre. The flavors lacked depth, the overall quality didn’t justify the price, and nothing about the meal stood out in a positive way. It felt more like a place built on marketing than on actual cooking. What made everything worse was the attitude of the staff. There was no warmth, no professionalism, and absolutely no sense that they cared about their customers. Instead of enjoying dinner, I spent the entire meal wondering why I had chosen this place in the first place. I’ve eaten at countless restaurants across Japan, and genuine hospitality is usually one of the country’s greatest strengths. Unfortunately, this restaurant was the complete opposite. It completely failed to live up to that standard. There are so many better restaurants nearby offering better food, better value, and far more respectful service. I genuinely regret spending both my time and money here. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won’t be coming back. This was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I have had in Japan. My boyfriend and I made a reservation for dinner and arrived on time. From the beginning, the service felt cold and unfriendly. When the staff gave us the menu, they did not explain anything. However, when another table of female customers sat next to us shortly afterward, the staff explained the menu to them properly. The contrast was very clear, and it made us feel as if foreign customers were being treated differently. There was also a serious lack of basic care. A dish was served on a hot cast-iron plate, but no one warned us that it was hot. The hot handle was even placed facing the customer. Whether this was intentional or just careless, it was extremely unprofessional and honestly unacceptable. Right after we finished eating, the staff immediately asked if we were ready to pay and cleared the plates very quickly. I could understand this if the restaurant were full or if there were people waiting, but there were plenty of empty tables outside. Also, we were never informed of any dining time limit before we sat down The food itself was not worth the price. It was not terrible, but it was very ordinary. The half chicken on the cast-iron plate was overly salty, and the beef did not taste fresh. It looked grilled on the surface, but the flavor was unpleasantly bloody, and the texture was tough and hard to chew. What bothered me most was not just the food, but the attitude. The whole experience felt rude, uncomfortable, and disrespectful. If the restaurant does not want to serve foreign customers, it should be honest about that instead of accepting our reservation and money while treating us this way. The behavior felt childish and unprofessional. I would not go back and would not recommend it to anyone Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I went to Butcher Brothers based on the supposedly good reviews. On entering the empty restaraunt and asking for a table at 6.00pm I was asked to wait back outside??Then a waiter came out and said I could come back in 11/2 hours. Your kidding I thought I only wanted a light meal. The waiter then asked me to wait 1 minute. After a further 10 minutes of waiting outside in the cold I popped my head back in the door and said forget about it. I'm not spending my money in a place that has no idea on how to treat a customer.
