First time here and I visited because a friend gave me a hefty gift card, as I knew the place was pretty expensive. She raved about it and I have to say it didn't disappoint. My bf and I aren't steak lovers by any means, so I tried the branzino and he had the halibut. They were both delicious! We had the calamari for our appetizer and both had Sidecar cocktails (one of my favs). Also, the complimentary biscuits are probably the best biscuits I've ever had. If it's in your budget, I recommend you give it a try!
One of the best steak places I have ever been to. First, the service was amazing. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Great suggestions on wine, as well as starters, steak cut, sides and dessert. While all of the food was great, the Bread and whipped butter may have been the star of the meal. We asked for a second helping it was so good. For an appetizer we had the Tuna tartare and it did not disappoint. It was not fishy at all Had the Delmonico steak. Do not normally have this steak cut but it appeared to have a nearly perfect mix of marbling to muscle. The Steak was cooked perfectly with a nice char on the-outside and a deep pink throughout the inside (which you rarely see). Sides were also great. The stuffed hash tasted great, although the potatoes could have used a little more cooking. Creamed spinach was some of the best I ever had. The Brussels sprouts were so good my wife hoarded them. Best steak place I have been to in philly
We just had another fantastic meal at butcher and singer. Steaks are delicious. I recommend getting the truffle butter for sure. The loaded hash brown is a must. The escargot is garlicky buttery goodness. And the bread they bring to the table is mouth watering. The service was ok. The waiter seemed in a rush the whole time. Dessert took 20min to bring out and we only ordered ice cream. But overall we love it there. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food is exceptional. Multiple good experiences.
