I called 5 times to try to see if they were open today on Mother’s Day. My mom called twice and my dad called three times. Over the span of about an hour we made nearly 10 phone calls. Sometimes it was declined immediately , other times someone would pick up but not say anything. We decided to drive over anyways because we really like the food. While there, we noticed the phone ring several times which staff ignored.

I love this store. The bakery items are so delicious. The grocery store items are great, I especially love the cheese bread. Looking forward to going back to store very soon. The staff is super nice and friendly.

Since moving to VA, it's been hard for us to find a good Brazilian grocery store. We searched and found 'By Brazil' in a small strip Mall in Wheaton, MD what a relief. We went there twice to stock up on goodies and the long drive is worth it. The store is very super clean, with shelves well very organized and labeled. The staff are fully bilingual, friendly, helpful and professional, also the uniforms are clean. You'll find a lot of Brazilian imported products at reasonable prices considering they are imported and came a long way. Also cafe and bakery are in one place. They have "Pão de Queijo", the famed snack Brazilian cheese bread, made of tapioca flour, milk, eggs, olive oil and stuffed with cheese. It's even gluten free. They also have: * "Pastéis", a fried pastry stuffed with meat * Delicious "coxinha", a dense fried dumpling stuffed with chicken * Refreshing and authentic "Açaí Bowl" with fresh fruit toppings, dusted with powdered milk, just like it's done in Brazil There are various brazilian sweet style desserts: * "Brigadeiro"- chocolate balls covered with chocolate sprinkles. * "Beijinho"- sweetened condensed milk, with coconut flakes and butter. * Puddings - cakes in various flavors. Anyway it's a great authentic place to try out. If you're missing a little bit of Brazil, that's a good place to visit.
