We had a really nice time. The black pork and tomatoes were very tasty and amazing, but the octopus and vegetable dish was a bit disappointing (very little octopus and too much oil at the bottom which soaked the vegetables). Wine was good! Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I’ve been visiting Ca Na Toneta since 2017 and have recommended it to many friends visiting the island. When we saw that Celler Tonet opened, we were very excited to support it, especially in the off season. This is the second review I’ve ever written, but the experience was so absurd I never expected it from them. We made a reservation for 16:15 today and drove 33 km to get there. When we arrived on time, a staff member, who is someone I recognized from Ca Na Toneta, received us with raised eyebrows. When we said we had a reservation she said “that’s impossible,” half laughing. We insisted, she refused to believe us, asked us to prove it so we showed the email confirmation. She still seemed doubtful so she had a colleague check their system, first looked at the wrong date, then the correct one, and only then confirmed what we already knew: our booking was there, for 16:15, as we said. The explanation then changed from “you can’t have a reservation because the kitchen closed at 15:00” to “it’s our new system’s fault.” At no point during the booking process was a 15:00 kitchen closing time mentioned, not on the website, not in the confirmation, and they had almost two hours to call us and let us know there had been a mistake. The apology “sorry it was our system that got it wrong” only came after I mentioned we had driven half an hour, and it didn’t feel genuine. Many times she said “well, what can I do, the kitchen is closed” as though the question was rhetorical. She could’ve done quite a lot, actually. Only at the end did she say “do you maybe want something to drink, I could try to make like a cheese board.” Why would we want to pay for a cheese board after all of this? We were kept at the door for 10 minutes to prove something we already knew and were treated as though we were the problem. We left. 66 km and over an hour of driving in total, without eating, and with a feeling I didn’t expect to associate with their name. I understand that new restaurants might encounter problems. What’s harder to accept is being treated as though the mistake was ours for wanting to eat there, by people who have been in the hospitality business for over a decade and know that guests travel across the island to reach them. That responsibility matters and so does the trust guests bring when they walk through your door. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
