As a foreigner finding his place in Nagoya, this café has been an absolute gem of a find. I have the luck of living really close by and I'm coming to this place between 3 - 5 times a week. This has given me the opportunity of getting to know the owner and his family, who have been absolutely wonderful to me. Currently I am learning Japanese, and when I requested help from the owner, he sat down with me and helped me study for 45 minutes with conversational practice, twice. Truly grateful to have found such a warm place to call a second home for this upcoming year. Considering the atmosphere, it gives the feeling of a library, rendering it to be calming and relaxing. On the Fridays and Saturdays, it is true that you can feel the bass reverberating through the floor. However, since I used to be a party animal, it only makes me nostalgic to my party days. Throw in a little bit of Zen and it is still very much possible to study overthere, also on those days. If you're looking for a warm place in the heart of Nagoya, Centre got you covered.
